Oscar Mancilla, new winemaker at Bodega Viña Vieja

During 2019, new changes occurred in the Viña Vieja Winery as a result of the efforts that it has been making year after year to improve. One of them was the arrival of Oscar Mancilla, who assumed the position of winemaker at the winery.
Oscar replaces Rodrigo Avilés in this position, who began the renovation of the winery in 2013 and who takes the sincere recognition and gratitude of the Rotondo family.
Oscar Mancilla is a renowned Chilean winemaker with more than 20 years of experience in important wine companies in Chile, USA, New Zealand and Spain. Its presence aims to consolidate the evolution and growth of the Winery, enhancing the characteristics of the terroir and varieties of grapes that its vineyards have, expressing the evolution of Viña Vieja through products that express the personality, authenticity and quality of piscos and Peruvian wines.
Oscar has been working on this during 2019, which has been reflected in the qualities shown by the different products of the winery, which will undoubtedly be more noticeable during 2020.
